San Clemente Hopped through Easter Weekend

The free event featured fun games, rides and cup cake decorating for young children.

The annual Springtacular celebration kicked off the partly sunny Easter weekend Saturday morning with games, arts and crafts and picture time with the Easter bunny at the Vista Hermosa Sports Park and Aquatic Center.

"The families are enjoying the games and rides since the weather got warmer," said San Clemente Recreation Manager Pam Passow. "We have train rides, games and cup cake decorating. It's an affordable way for a family to enjoy themselves."

The day began at 7:30 a.m. with a Kiwanis pancake breakfast following with arts and crafts activities. Last but not least, the egg hunt commenced with hundreds of children scrambling for the colorful eggs that were strew across the baseball fields.
