More than 100 entrepreneurs and startup companies attended the OC Startup Resource Fair at UCI Beall Applied Innovation.
In partnership with University Lab Partners (ULP), the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) @ UCI Beall Applied Innovation hosted the event that connects entrepreneurs and startup companies with resources for life science and high-tech ventures.
“We created the startup resource fair to benefit startups, small businesses and teams who are innovators in Orange County so they could come and connect with service providers to leverage those resources to grow and accelerate their companies,” said Julie Cranston, director at SBDC @ UCI Beall Applied Innovation. “We’re really looking forward to having these every six months or once a year.”
The fair offered startups and entrepreneurs within the community and Applied Innovation the opportunity to network and meet face-to-face with resources such as banking, accounting, leasing, legal services, clinical and regulatory consultancies, as well as the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
“One of the biggest benefits of coming to these events are the connections and networks that you’re able to make while here,” said Kristen Del Dosso, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Teen MindGames, a Wayfinder startup. “It’s about making those connections and fostering continuing relationships to progress our goals toward a positive direction, both mission-based as well as financial.”
